Organisation’s History

The Centre was set up in 1995, as an initiative of the Church of God of Prophecy –Luton, under the management of a management team, operating as Family Matters. The Centre was then legally constituted in 2000, as a charitable trust under the name the Family and Relationship Crisis Centre.
The Centre now retains the same name, namely the Family and Relationship Crisis Centre, but now has new legal status and ownership, which enables it to operate as a trading company as well as a charity.  This has been achieved as part of the Centre’s strategic long-term vision of sustainability through self-financing.

Legal Entity
The Centre has dual legal status, that of a registered company (reg. no 5485393), and a registered charity (reg. no. 1110609).  This dual status enables the Centre to fully benefit from being a trading company as well as a registered charity with access to grant funding.
